House Listed on the National Register of
Historic Places, the Hanover House was built by French Huguenots in 1716. Originally
located in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, the house was moved to the Clemson University
Campus in 1941 and became a house-museum. While the house has since been relocated to the
Botanical Garden, it remains open for you to tour.
