Adjoining the duck pond, the Pioneer Garden features the Ransom Hunt Cabin, an authentic log cabin which was built in 1825. This area also contains a grist mill, a selection of historic farming tools, and beds containing vegetables, herbs, and flowers which might have been grown by pioneers.
